Slick Idiot

Coming to rescue Industrial music fans stranded in a land of complacency are EN ESCH and GUENTER SCHULZ, together as SLICK IDIOT! Formerly core members and co-founders of KMFDM, ESCH and SCHULZ left the groundbreaking industrial powerhouse in 1999 forming their own project. Legends in the Industrial music world, EN ESCH and GUENTER SCHULZ came together in their native Germany in the 1980’s and have worked together ever since.

Plasmacrash

Started at the end of the 2005 Colorado Dark Arts Festival, Plasmacrash was formed by college radio DJ’s Asbestos (then known as Big Tim) and Rivet. The band played with a two person lineup until 2007 when Thick Noose guitarist Chaotic Weevil was brought in to fill in for, and later augment, Rivet while he was deployed overseas with the Army National Guard. The band further filled out it’s linup in 2008 when they added ALH members Joey Gunn and Nic Bastard to the band.

The Siren Project

The Siren Project was formed by Malgorzata,(Margaret) Wacht and Alex Seminara. Together, they lead the listener on a journey wrought with aural pleasures. The Siren Project has opened for national acts such as: Faith and Muse and Rasputina.

Send us the pics!

So the band has arrived back home, and now we’re decompressing. It occurs to us that people were snapping pictures, and we’d to post some on our sites! If you attended one (or more) of our recent shows and have some pics of the band, or us with fans…please send them in to our MySpace, or put them on a facebook, and let us know where we can see them!

Notes from the Road….Part 3 (Out of the frying pan and into the pit)

08.12.09

The frying pan we are referring to is Phoenix. The venue was all red and covered with paintings of naked women (points for that) and was a pretty cool little place in general. There wasn’t a sound man that night (lose points for that), but we got it worked out and ran our own sound.

A big shout out goes to A0n and ZinForge for supporting us and also all of the brave, crazy souls that continued to hang out with us into the wee hours of the morning.

The pit in this case could be New Mexico, or perhaps just Carlsbad Caverns, which is just amazing.

The caves go on and on, the ceiling is sometimes hundreds of feet high. It is truly awesome. Now, the less awesome part: Houston is cancelled. We have just learned that the club has been shut down, and won’t be able to find a new venue in time for the show. They will be reopening but not for a while.  We are very bummed out, but we will keep in touch with the HavoK folks, and rebook when we can.
